How will the Bobcats fare in 2012-13??

If the Bobcats are to succeed now and in the future, their 5 newcomers must acheive some important goals this season.  Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was the 2nd overall pick in the draft and he must show he is worthy of that pick.  He needs to become a star, not a Kevin Durant type of star, (that would be nice), but maybe just a Gerald Wallace type of star.  The Bobcats also selected Vanderbilt forward Jeff Taylor in second round.  Many thought he should have been a late first round pick.  He needs to prove that he should have been picked that high by becoming a solid contributor off the bench.  Free agent aquisition Ben Gordon must get the Bobcats out of last place in 3 point percentage and help lead and mentor the young guys.  Brendan Haywood needs to rebound and defend the rim and Ramon Sessions must take care of the ball and provide a spark off the bench.  As for Kemba Walker and Bismack Biyombo, they should take a big step forward after having a full offseason and training camp.

Even if all these individual goals are acheived, the Bobcats will still be challenged with meshing the rookies, free agents, and established vets into one cohesive, complimentary unit.  That task rests with first year NBA coach Mike Dunlap.  If he can acheive that, the Bobcats will win 25 games and be on their way to respectability.
